Dr. Gary Small Interviewed on the Today Show
Matt Lauer talks with Dr. Small about the aging of the nearly 80 million U.S. Baby Boomers. In 2011, this generation born between 1946 and 1964 began to approach age 65 years, when the risk for Alzheimer’s disease increases to 10 percent. Dr. Small discusses how age is the greatest single risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease, but he also emphasizes that everyday lifestyle habits, such as physical exercise, healthy diet, memory training, and stress management, can stave off symptoms over the years and improve function right away.
